Poem

Ode to Sani-Chips

By Louise Stack

Upon waking this morning I did find
That Sani-Chips were on my mind.
My rats think Sani-Chips were made
To throw like confetti at a New Year’s Parade.
By the look of my house I fear I’ve found
It looks like the parade has come to town!
I hate to fuss and loathe to swear,
But Sani-Chips are everywhere.
Looking in the mirror I then did spy
A Sani-Chip lurking in my eye.
Oh, Sani-Chips, dear Sani-Chips,
Is that one sticking to my lips?
I wring my hands and tear my hair
For Sani-Chips are everywhere.
My rats kick them from their cage and glare,
As they watch them go sailing through the air.
Then they just laugh, and so it goes,
As I pick Sani-Chips from between my toes. *
