This is the beginning steps to become an AFRMA Official Stud.
Adult membership required to sign up, must exhibit in at least 2 AFRMA shows a year, may be registered to a family but all family members must reside under the same roof
Only one rattery/mousery name may be registered per member, name unique, approved by AFRMA Board
Must breed to show standards (breeding animals must pass an evaluation critique with “Breeder Status”; pet breeders would not qualify); should have a web site; list club’s associated with and involvement with
Eligible to compete for the “AFRMA Best Novice Breeder Award”
The Registered Rattery/MouseryName will be used as a prefix on pedigrees/birth certificates with official number
Registered name to be in effect as long as membership in AFRMA is current and in good standing. If membership lapses, then a new application and fee must be made.

$10 for Official Stud Registration (must meet qualifications before registering)
(includes certificate and official “stamp” to be used on breeder’s web site and forms)

Once a breeder has met the required criteria, their Registered Rattery/Mousery can apply for Official Stud

All wins to be earned under AFRMA recognized judges
Must have won BIS 2 or more times or won B. Variety with 5 or more in that Variety 2 or more times
Animals winning BIS/B. Variety must have been owned, bred, and exhibited by the applicant and the winning rat or mouse’s parents and grandparents must have been owned and bred by the same applicant for a total of 3 generations owned and bred by the applicant.

The Official Stud Name will be used as a prefix on pedigrees/birth certificates with official number

List wins that qualify you for Official Stud Prefix Registration:
(Must provide 3-generation pedigrees.)

Before sending this form, you should print it for your records.
After you press SEND, you should get a screen thanking you for sending your application
and a “Pay Now” button to pay via PayPal.

If you do not get the “Thank You” screen, then your e-mail didn’t go through and you will need
to print this form to a PDF and save file (OR in Firefox you can right mouse click, "Take Screenshot," save full page, download, save the file),
then attach your PDF file (or screenshot file) to an e-mail and send to registration@afrma.org,
then send your payment via PayPal.
