Two Pearl 4-week-old male rats, owned and bred by Karen Robbins, Karen’s Kritters. Both parents were Pearl. The one on the right has too much soot/tipping on his head (this will stay this way) and would not be good to use as a breeder. The one on the left has a little bit of dark tipping on his head (ideally you don’t want dark tipping like this to show up at this age).

Pearl vs. Silver Mink 4-week-old male rats, owned and bred by Karen Robbins, Karen’s Kritters. It is common for the males to be the Silver Minks in the Pearl litters. They usually lose their silvering in adulthood.
