Mouse Ear

Mice have natural cut-outs on their ear bottom just before it attaches to the head (just like people with detached ear lobes). This is not considered a piece missing or large nick that would be a DQ. See the FB note or article on web site Mouse Ear DQs for examples of what would disqualify a mouse from competition. In that note you can see the natural cutouts on mouse #1, 4, and 5. Normally the fur around the ear covers this area so you don’t notice it but sometimes photos catch this area so you can see this. The 3 mice below were very tolerant of having their ears touched so we could take the photos.
