Hammock Review

By Louise Stack

Simon and Garfunkle, my two adult male rats had never experienced a hammock before, so I hung it up in their cage and placed them in it numerous times. However, they had their own idea on how they wanted to use their soft, fleecy, new hammock and decided not to “hang ten.” To make a long story short, they prefer to use it as a rat blankie. I lay it out flat on a table just outside their cage and at playtime everyday, they venture out of the cage, run over to the hammock, climb inside, and take rat naps. They also enjoy chewing on their new hang-out, but since it’s well made and reasonably priced, I’m not too concerned.

Features include:

  • Machine washable,
  • Grommetted corners for easy hanging
  • “S” Hooks for safety
  • Unfinished edges reduce chewing
  • Soft, cozy fleece for comfort
  • Has pockets for the rats to crawl into
  • Approximate size: 14½ by 12 inches
  • Only $7.25 (includes postage) *
