Combining Rats

By Karen Robbins

When putting two groups of females together or putting a mom-rat and her daughters back with a group of girls, try putting them all together into another female group cage when it is a couple days dirty (after you have taken that group out and put into a different cage) (kind of like musical cages).

Another option is to place each group of females in the other’s cage for a couple days before putting them all together into one of the existing group’s cage or a new cage (one that is freshly washed with new bedding or another group cage that is a couple days dirty like above).
